SolarVision Lighting Technologies were contacted to provide lighting where no mains connections were prepared, it was now not desirable to install lighting via traditional methods due to the disruption that would cause (excavation). The installation of our solar lighting causes minimal inconvenience to the residence and no damage to the surrounding areas. To deliver this SVLT worked in conjunction with the Persimmon’s Technical team, the Site Manager and residents. We were able to offer a cost-effective way forward and conducted a GPR survey to ensure no obstructions or unknown services were present, we also surveyed the proposed locations to ensure we established the maximum solar energy yield and provide correct displacement of lighting across the communal areas. We provided the full solution for Persimmon from design to completion, and with the end customer in consideration. Our installation was totally non-invasive across the four parking areas, with new ASTRAL solar lighting columns, providing a unique cylindrical design, unlike traditional solar solutions this product has been designed specifically with the developer in mind, as a total cost-effective solar lighting solution. Our range of unique optics are A rated to minimise light pollution and makes a major contribution to the developer’s mission to deliver net zero carbon development. The installation took place over two-days and were completed with no interference to residents onsite and no additional construction requirements, resulting in a prompt, effortless supply, and overcoming the previous site challenges.
